Circling Light Transfer
Circling Light Transfer, 2016
lithography, variable edition: ink on paper
30 × 30 cm; 1 sq.ft. each; 81 prints
This variable edition of lithographs examines the material relationship between earth (rock/limestone), glass (vessels that functioned as inspiration for the pattern drawings), and fat (contained in the crayons used to draw on the stone). The drawing was systematically altered throughout the edition each time by rotating the paper and continuously adding and subtracting from the stone substrate. The piece functions as visual evidence of this closed system and the performative investigation of material.
